Himalayan pink salt, priced openly and shipped from the mine.
We are a Khewra-based manufacturer and exporter supplying edible salt, lamps, cooking blocks, bath salt, animal licks and salt bricks. Published price bands. A lab report with every lot. And a real minimum order of 25 kg — not one container.
You should not have to buy a container to try a supplier
Most Himalayan salt exporters will not talk to you below 25 metric tons. That rule exists for their convenience, not yours and it is the reason so many small brands end up buying repackaged salt from a domestic middleman at four times the mine price. We built our packing line to handle both ends.
25 kg trial box
One bag of any edible grade, or a mixed box of lamps, blocks and bath salt. Courier-shipped, landed in three to six days across the US and Canada. You get the same lot documentation a container buyer gets.
- Lead time2–4 days to dispatch
- ShippingDHL / FedEx, door to door
- PaperworkInvoice + COA
500 kg – 5 MT pallet order
The size most first-time importers actually need. Ships as LCL groupage or air freight for urgent stock, with private-label packing available from 500 kg per SKU. This is where most of our US customers place their second order.
- Lead time8–14 working days
- ShippingLCL sea or air freight
- Private labelFrom 500 kg per SKU
Full container, 20ft or 40ft
A 20ft box holds roughly 24–27 metric tons of bagged salt once pallet configuration and destination road-weight limits are accounted for. Mixed containers are fine edible salt on the floor, lamps and blocks on top.
- Lead time12–18 working days
- TermsFOB, CFR, CIF or DDP
- Mixed loadsYes, across all lines
Seven product lines, one factory, one set of paperwork
Everything below comes out of the same allocated seams and the same packing hall. That matters more than it sounds: when you buy lamps from one trader and edible salt from another, you end up managing two sets of documents, two payment terms and two arguments about colour.
We publish the things other exporters make you ask for
We spent a while reading our competitors' websites properly. Almost none of them publish a price, a minimum order, a lead time, or a real lab report. Buyers are expected to fill in a form and hope. Here is what we do instead.
Published price bands
Per kilogram and per metric ton, by grade and volume, on a page anyone can read. We also list the five things that move a quote, so you can predict where you land.
A lab report with every lot
NaCl, moisture, water insolubles, heavy metals and microbiology, on the lab's letterhead, with the batch number that matches your bags. Attached to the shipping documents automatically.
25 kg to 25 tonnes
The same salt, the same lab report, and the same person answering your email on your first 25 kg bag and on your fourth container of the year.
US and Canada compliance help
FDA facility registration, the data your broker needs for Prior Notice, the records your FSVP file requires, and CFIA/SFC guidance for Canadian importers written out in plain English, not buried in a blog.
Photographs before the door closes
Loading photos, the seal number and the packing list go to you the same day the container is stuffed. If something looks wrong, you find out in Jhelum, not at the port.
Written replacement terms
If a lot falls outside the agreed specification, we replace it on the next sailing at our cost. It is a clause in the contract, not a promise on a homepage.
Yes, it comes from Pakistan not the Himalayas
Pink salt is mined in the Salt Range of the Pothohar Plateau, around the Khewra mine in Jhelum District, Punjab. The deposit is an ancient marine evaporite from the Ediacaran to early Cambrian period, laid down hundreds of millions of years before the Himalayas existed. The name is a trade convention. The geology is not.
We lead with this because buyers find out anyway, usually from a news article, and it damages whichever supplier was vague about it. The pink colour comes from iron oxide traces distributed unevenly through the halite which is also why the same seam produces darker and lighter bags, and why anyone promising perfectly uniform colour is either blending or bleaching.
What we will not do is attach health claims to it. Trace minerals in pink salt sit well under one percent and are not nutritionally meaningful, and plain pink salt supplies no iodine, unlike iodised table salt. If your marketing needs those claims, we are the wrong supplier. If it needs a clean product, a real spec sheet and a defensible origin story, we are a good fit.
Typical edible-grade specification
| Sodium chloride (dry basis) | 97.0–99.0% |
| Moisture | 0.5% max |
| Water insolubles | 0.8% max |
| Lead (Pb) | < 2 mg/kg |
| Iodine | None added |
| Standard packing | 25 kg / 50 lb |
Heavy-metal figures reflect typical buyer specifications and Codex-adjacent reference values, not a single US legal limit for salt. Every shipment carries its own lab result.
From your first email to a sealed container
Spec & quote
You send grade, grain size, packing and destination port. We come back inside one working day with a written quote, a spec sheet and a sample proposal.
Sample
Up to 2 kg free by courier, or a 25 kg paid trial bag if you need to run a real production test. Courier cost is credited against your first commercial order.
Production & test
Washed, dried, screened and metal-detected, then a lot sample goes to the lab. Nothing gets packed until the result comes back inside spec.
Pack, load, ship
Your artwork, your packing configuration, loading photos and the seal number the same day then the documents your broker needs to clear it.
What buying from us has actually looked like
Six worked case studies with real numbers order size, lead time, freight mode, landed cost, and in two cases what went wrong and how it was fixed.
The five things buyers ask first
Twenty-five kilograms. One bag of any edible grade, or a mixed 25 kg starter box of lamps, blocks and bath salt, shipped by courier. There is no container-load minimum to start a relationship with us that policy exists at most exporters because small orders are annoying to pack, and we decided to solve the packing problem instead.
Yes, as indicative bands per kilogram and per metric ton by grade and volume, on our pricing page. The exact figure depends on grain size, packing and volume, and on the freight market when you book. But you can see the ballpark before you talk to anyone, which is more than the rest of this industry offers.
The Khewra Salt Range in Jhelum District, Punjab, Pakistan. It is a Precambrian to Cambrian evaporite deposit, not a Himalayan mountain deposit, despite the trade name. Read the full explanation on our about page.
We hold FDA foreign facility registration and prepare everything your customs broker and FSVP file need: certificate of analysis, HACCP summary, commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and bill of lading. Prior Notice is filed by your broker or agent; we supply every data point it asks for. Canadian buyers need their own Safe Food for Canadians licence we explain that in the import guide.
Courier samples reach most US addresses in three to six days. Production for a container runs 12 to 18 working days once artwork and payment terms are settled, then ocean transit from Karachi is typically 30 to 45 days depending on the transshipment hub and which coast you are on. Air freight for a pallet is seven to ten days door to door, at roughly five to eight times the sea rate.
Send us a spec — we quote within one working day
Tell us the grade, grain size, packing and destination port. You get a written quotation, a specification sheet, and a sample on its way the same week. Trial orders start at 25 kg.
